This year has been a bumper year for Impact Handling at IMHX, as it unveiled a host of new products and innovations. Cat® Lift Trucks led the product launches with their remarkable 48 and 80 volt electric machines, bringing market-leading levels of performance, versatility, manoeuvrability and value to the 1.4 to 3.5 tonne market.

Lithium-ion and lead-acid battery technology

While the latest Lithium-ion technology is being adopted, Impact have looked at recent developments in lead-acid battery technology, demonstrating best-practice battery change-overs. Proving that lead-acid still has an important role to play within today’s choice of handling power and actually continues to represent the most appropriate solution for many applications – not to mention debunking some of the myths around the time and effort it takes to switch batteries.

Safety and the environment

Safety and the environment both featured strongly on Impact’s stand this year, with dedicated areas highlighting the latest developments. Impact’s team offered guidance on how to reduce your carbon footprint, regardless of power preference, and explained how companies could reduce the potential cost implications of moving to electric as well as from the impending 2020 diesel legislation.

Impact delivers day after day

Impact has enjoyed a remarkable few years of growth, driven by significant investment into every corner of its business. The fruits of which were very evident on the stand this year, with impressive developments to its core services and support capability taking pride of place.

Visitors could see how Impact delivers its acclaimed local personal service consistently across all of the UK and Northern Ireland. Where its smallest or largest multi-site customers receives exactly the same industry-leading levels of service and response, no matter what size they are or where they are located. Case studies featuring real-world applications in key sectors demonstrated how this uniquely proactive and genuine approach continues to deliver value as it supports equipment users in achieving their operational goals.

‘Ultimate Flexibility’

Even bigger news perhaps is Impact's ‘Ultimate Flexibility’ – If you thought you knew what flexibility from a handling supplier was, brace yourself, because Impact have torn-up the rule book.

Impact has leveraged its unique position of independence, and its in-house financing structure, to offer customers previously unseen levels of flexibility across their rental agreements and, indeed, their entire relationship with their handling supplier. This includes industry firsts such as zero penalties for truck changes during the term of an agreement.

IMHX has been successful and as Impact reports:

“We had the opportunity to get even closer to our customers and show them the different ways we can support them in their business, day after day."
