Gas forklift trucks are an excellent alternative to both diesel and electric counterbalanced trucks for a wide range of materials handling applications, in many ways providing the best of both worlds without the main disadvantages of either.
Because gas is a much more environmentally-friendly fuel than diesel, gas powered forklifts like the Cat® Lift Trucks GP15-35N models can be used both indoors and outside. Like electric trucks, meanwhile, gas forklift trucks are clean and quiet yet do not require hours of recharging between shifts.
All of this means that gas powered forklifts can carry out just about any handling task, from working in warehouse racking to loading goods vehicles and from carrying goods between one site building and another to delivering a pallet of critical supplies to a production line.
Using liquefied petroleum (LP) gas, gas forklifts are also eminently suited to working at remote locations – all you need to do is take sufficient spare gas bottles with you to ensure your LP forklift can work for as long as necessary. Replacing an empty gas cylinder with a full one is a quick and straightforward procedure, allowing LP forklifts to work for any length of shift or any number of consecutive shifts.
